Convert LinkedIn connections or a vCard for Evergreen

Drop in a LinkedIn Connections.csv or a .vcf file from Apple Contacts and get a JSON file that Evergreen can import. The conversion happens in this browser tab. Your file is not uploaded anywhere.

Import is a Mac feature. Evergreen imports this file on the Mac, from the File menu. The iPhone and iPad apps do not import.

Contacts only. The converter creates people, not history. It cannot create meetings, calls, emails or follow-ups, and it does not guess a timeline. LinkedIn's connection date is kept as a line in each contact's notes.

Convert a file

Import it into Evergreen

  1. Convert your file above and download evergreen-import.json.
  2. In Evergreen on your Mac, choose File → Import Dataset from JSON… and pick the file.
  3. Look through the new contacts. The summary under the Convert button says how many contacts were found and how many rows were skipped for having no name.

Privacy

This page reads the file you give it, builds the new file in memory, and hands it back as a download. It makes no network request with your contacts in it, and the page tells your browser not to allow any: its content security policy sets connect-src 'none'. It loads no analytics and no third-party scripts, fonts or images. You can check this by viewing the page source, or by turning off your internet connection and converting a file anyway.

About Evergreen

Evergreen is a personal CRM for Mac, iPhone and iPad. We have no account system and we never see your contacts. Your data lives on your device by default, and optional sync runs through your own iCloud, not our servers. The app is $9.99; Evergreen Sync is a separate optional subscription at $1.99 a month.
