idea.log collects zero data. Everything stays on your device. We couldn’t access your ideas even if we wanted to.
idea.log is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains our data practices for the idea.log iOS application ("idea.log" or "the App").
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers.
All data created in idea.log is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This includes:
idea.log requests the following permissions to enable certain features:
Required for the voice input feature. Audio is processed locally on your device using Apple’s Speech Recognition framework. No audio is transmitted to external servers.
Used to convert voice input to text. Processing is done locally on your device through iOS system services.
Allows you to capture ideas via Siri shortcuts ("Hey Siri, I have an idea"). Data is handled locally through Apple’s App Intents framework. No data leaves your device.
idea.log does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Since all data is stored locally, deleting the app permanently removes all your ideas, tags, and comments.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, your idea.log data may be included in your encrypted iCloud backup according to Apple’s backup policies. This is managed by iOS, not by idea.log.
We do not have access to your iCloud backups. This is handled entirely by Apple’s systems.
idea.log does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data leaves your device, COPPA compliance is inherent to the app’s design.
If distributed through the Apple App Store, purchases and updates are handled by Apple. We receive only anonymized reports as provided by Apple; your billing information is not shared with us.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Since we collect no data, changes will primarily clarify or update the policy text rather than introduce new data collection practices.
