Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy covers the WorkFit - Exercise Reminder extension for Google Chrome ("WorkFit"), published by Helton Labs LLC. Effective October 24, 2026; applies to WorkFit v1.0.0 and later unless updated here.

What WorkFit Stores and Why

All extension data is kept in chrome.storage.local on your device. WorkFit does not use Chrome sync.

• Settings - Reminder interval, weekdays and hours, categories, sound, snooze length, excluded exercises, favourites, and the last exercise shown per category. These configure reminders and suggestions and avoid immediate repeats.
• Current exercise - The selected exercise's name, instructions, category, illustration and duration, so it is available when you reopen the popup.
• Pause deadline - When paused reminders may resume.
• Active timer - Exercise name and start/end timestamps, so a timer can continue after the popup closes.
• Finished-timer log - Exercise names and ending timestamps, used for local counts. When a timer ending is recorded, the log is pruned to the last 14 days and at most 200 entries. A timer ending does not confirm physical movement.

What WorkFit Does Not Collect

WorkFit does not read browsing history, website content, location, identity, financial information or health records, and requests no host permissions. All scripts, exercise text and images are bundled with the extension; no remote code is loaded.

Chrome alarms schedule reminders and timers, and Chrome notifications display their messages, which may be visible to anyone looking at your screen.

Sharing and Sale

Nothing WorkFit stores leaves your device, so there is nothing to sell, share or transfer. We do not use any WorkFit data for advertising, creditworthiness or lending, or any purpose unrelated to reminders, exercise selection and timers.

Your Controls and Erasure

• In Settings, choose Erase activity history, then Yes, erase to remove all finished-timer records. Your settings and other state stay intact.
• Stop timer removes the active timer; Resume reminders removes the pause deadline.
• To erase all WorkFit data, remove WorkFit from chrome://extensions. Reinstalling starts with defaults. Closing the popup does not erase stored data.

Third Parties

Chrome and the Chrome Web Store operate under Google's own policies. This website (heltonlabs.com) is separate from the extension and uses its own analytics; visiting it is not part of WorkFit's operation.

Children's Privacy

WorkFit collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If WorkFit's data handling changes, this page will be updated with a new "Last Updated" date before the changed version is published.
